The Florida Gators have hired Texas Longhorns offensive coordinator Will Muschamp to be their new head coach.
A lot of people thought that Florida might look at an internal candidate at the urging of Urban Meyer.
Muschamp was named head coach in waiting at Texas but was more than happy to jump at the opportunity.
The move will force Texas back to the drawing board, as they were set to hand the job over to Muschamp when Mack Brown retired. (Read More…)

Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer has announced he is stepping down, the second time he has done so in the past year.
He said that he understands that crazy sacrifices his job puts on him and thinks it is time he focuses on his family.
Meyer said he will greatly miss coming to campus every day but that he will always be a Gator.
Last year, Meyer announced he was done coaching after a health scare but quickly changed his mind and returned to Florida. (Read More…)

The Florida Gators showed just how far they have fallen in a 31-7 loss to the rival Florida State Seminoles.
The Gators held a 7-3 lead after the first quarter, but watched as the Seminoles scored 21 unanswered points heading into halftime.
Florida’s fake punt in the second quarter backfired, as the Seminoles stopped them short of the first down and then promptly found the end zone.
Offense has been a problem for Florida all season, but they had shown signs of improvement in recent weeks. (Read More…)
