Ten Gators land on coaches’ SEC preseason teams

They might not be the defending Southeastern Conference champions entering this season, but the Florida Gators and their talent still demands plenty of respect.

That is evident from looking over the list of the All-SEC Coaches’ Team preseason squads, released Tuesday in advance of SEC Media Days. In all, 10 Gators made the team, including three first-team selections. (Read More…)

Meyer set to sign deal

The Florida Gators expect head coach Urban Meyer to sign his six-year, $24 million contract in the coming days.

Meyer agreed to the deal last August but never signed the contract, something that happens more often than you would think in college sports.

The head coach then went on to have a health scare that initially caused him to announce he would not coach in 2010. (Read More…)
